I need your help!!!

Ok.. so, we are very casually tossing around the idea of possibly taking a trip to Disney World this year. At this point, we are just starting to look into it. We have no idea if we’ll actually go or not, but we do want to explore the possibility.

disney  We’ve been doing a little looking on the internet, and Ava gets sooooooooooooo excited seeing the different characters. I can’t even imagine what she would do if she saw Mickey in person. I think she might faint! ha!

Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone had any websites they’d recommend as far as helping us plan? Anything you know of that tells how to get good deals, what to do, etc. If you do, please leave a comment or email me at efamilyblog{at}gmail{dot}com.

OK? Ready. GO!

  1. We're totally entertaining the idea of going to DW too. If I find any helpful sites and ideas along the way, I'll be sure to share them with you. =)

  2. We live 10 minutes up the road from Disney so let me know if I can answer any question for you :)

    My favorite site is www.disboards.com!

Ava is at the perfect age! I don't know how you feel about cruising but the Disney cruises are simply the best and the easiest vacation with a toddler, in my opinion. To me, you get the best of both worlds - characters and the benefits of a cruise. They're pricey but I feel like they are worth every penny!

  3. I read couponingtodisney.com. She has lots of stuff on there about deals you can get, mostly not related to disney, but she also does a lot of stuff about Disney. They just got back from a trip where she did pictures and blogs and updates from disney everyday. I think you'll like it.

  4. Hi I'm Christy one of Katie S.'s friends. We went this summer and had a blast. I would reccommend staying on Disney Property. If you do then you could get the dining plan. This is the best bang for your buck especially if you want to do character dinners. With the dining plan, you can call and make reservations to the places you want to eat. You get a quick service meal (lunch), a sit down service meal, and a snack a day with the dining plan. We ate with the Disney Princess', Winnie the Pooh and friends, Lilo and Stitch, and Donald's Safari Breakfast. One adult meal at the dinner with the Disney's Princess' was $90.00. I hope this helps.

  6. We went last March and Eric LOVED every minute. I have lots of tips - too much to type. We need to chat sometime. One of the biggest helps was ask the Disney staff - for everything - info, tips, etc. They are so helpful. We did the Quick Service dining plan (we got it for free, plus 40% off our room package) and it was so worth it! We didn't want to be tied to making reservations for sit down meals every day because with kids you just never know. We did make reservations for 1 character lunch that was so worth it. That was a splurge and extra from the dining plan. We went out very early every morning to be there before the park of the day opened and went back to our hotel for a nap in the afternoon and went back out again in the evenings. It worked out great for us and we saw and did everything! They have a great kid swap feature that you can use too for rides that Ava would be too little for that you really want to do. You can switch off without standing in line twice - in fact we noticed - they let us in the fast pass lane and we just both walked right on the rides and switched kids. Anyway - we will talk sometime. :) I have LOTS more info! Sheri
