So, they let me take her in there and we were 2nd. We watched a cute little boy who was probably 7 months old just grin and have a good time. Ava was fine during this. As soon as I started walking toward Santa, the wailing began. I knelt down next to Santa and she just kept trying to get away. Santa said, "Mom, why don't you just sit on my lap?" (umm..yeah)... the crying kept on and the picture lady said "Do you want me to take a picture like this?" I told her it wasn't going to get any better than that so to go ahead. And this is what we got:
FAIL!!!
I'm hoping that maybe next year we'll finally get a picture with Santa with no crying because last year was unsuccessful as well. (See here) But hey, as Santa told me "you're just making memories!" Indeed we are, Santa!
And speaking of Santa, some elves were hard at work at our house last night putting this fun thing together!!!
We are gonna have one incredibly happy little girl come Christmas morning. I believe it was actually this week that Ava got mad when Zach picked her up from school because she had to leave her dishes behind. Can we say drama queen?
So is everyone all ready for Christmas?? I am!! I told Zach today that I'm more excited about Ava being excited on Christmas morning than anything else! It is going to be a fun Christmas! I have to work two days and then will be off the rest of the week - yay!
Ava has her 15 month check up tomorrow and she and Daddy have the next two weeks off. We've had a fun weekend celebrating an early Christmas with friends and getting lots of family time. Zach and I have spent a lot of time playing this:
We've had so much fun with this game! It's like it was when we were growing up but has a lot more added on! It's different because when we play together we are supposed to work together to beat it and at first it was like we were competing - ha! We've had fun though. It's been nice to just relax this weekend and have fun!
I hope everyone has a great week!! It's almost Christmas!!!
Oh, she is going to love that kitchen, I bet! Santa has one for my girls too.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even bother with Santa pics this year. Charlotte is terrified of him and I knew the twins wouldn't go for it either.
Happy holidays!
Too funny...Santa is right about make memories.
ReplyDeleteShe will love the kitchen.
Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteI had a kitchen when I was little and my mom couldn't keep me out of it! Of course, they're much fancier these days! Have a Merry Christmas!
