Last Thursday was Ava’s last day of school for the year! It truly seems like it just started!
I had to do a comparison to see how much the kids grew over the past 9 months!
A little boy in Ava’s class hosted a pool party that afternoon. Zach took her and they all had such a good time! She has a great little group of classmates that she’ll be with through the next seven years!
While they were at the pool party, I was at a local painting place with some of my best gal pals for a girls night out!
We had so much fun! I’ve been wanting to go here for the longest time. You can pretty much choose anything you want to paint and they help you sketch it out and then help fix anything you might mess up!
I love how my sign turned out!!! I can’t wait to get it hung up in the house!!
During the summers, Zach and Ava have enjoyed Friday morning breakfast dates at Chick-fil-a. This summer, our Chick-fil-a is going to be closed for renovations. The original close date got pushed back a week, and lucky for Zach and Ava, they got one breakfast date in!
Friday night my work hosted our annual company picnic. It was a Western theme this year and they had pony rides. I wasn’t sure the kids would go on the ponies, but surprisingly they did! Reed kept smiling until he saw me trying to take a picture and then he would scowl!
They also had a photo booth with props and Ava was excited to dress up and get some hand cuffs! ha!
So Saturday morning the kids wanted to play dress up. Unfortunately for Reed, our dress up girls are pretty much girly. He didn’t care though. He wanted to be Anna from Frozen and about 10 minutes later, he wanted to be Elsa!!!
We also converted his bed into a toddler bed yesterday! He was so cute sleeping in it last night. He did pretty good, too.
Sunday morning before church, Reed was not so enthused. He’d gotten in trouble before we left and he was definitely pouting. I do NOT remember two with Ava being THIS hard. He definitely tests us!
After church we did a little more work around the house. The kids managed to play together really nicely most of the day and a good portion of the day was playing in Reed’s new bed! They loved laying there together and pretending to tuck each other in!
This week marks the first week of summer! Zach and Ava don’t have many plans this week. While I’m not home every day, I do love the slower pace of summer and how nice it is to just relax a little without having as many commitments!
