Happy 4th Birthday, Ava!

Oh, sweet girl, HOW are you 4 years old? I feel like the last 4 years have passed in the blink of an eye.

It seems like just yesterday you were this sweet, tiny girl. Now, before our eyes, you’ve become a beautiful little girl. No more baby, not really any more toddler. I’ve mourned the loss of the last of your baby-ness. In the past few months, I’ve really noticed a change in you and your actions, your words, your demeanor.

You have changed so much this year. You’ve really matured and I’m glad for that because it was a big year for our family since we last celebrated your birthday. You became a big sister and I love watching you in this role.   

You are such a funny girl! We are constantly laughing at the funny things you and say and do. You definitely keep us laughing!

We are so unbelievably thankful for you, Ava. Our lives would be so much duller without you. You have a sweet, tender spirit, yet an unbelievable tenacity and stubbornness that I pray will benefit you as you grow. I know God has BIG BIG plans for you darling girl, and I can’t wait to see them unfold throughout the years.

Your daddy and I love you so much. I am in awe of how quickly your little life has gone. I honestly feel like it was just yesterday that we were awaiting your arrival. You have taught us so much about love, life and everything in between. I hope you always know that you are loved. You are wanted. You are BEAUTIFUL. You can be ANYTHING you want to be. You can dream BIG. The sky is the limit. Do not ever doubt yourself. I pray these things for you every day. You are a HUGE blessing, and we cannot wait to see what the next year holds for you, sweet baby!
