We were up late on Christmas Eve so I wasn’t sure how early the kids would wake up. Ava came into our room and laid down sometime after 6:00. We woke up about 6:45 and she told us all about what she’d seen under the Christmas tree!
We waited for a while and Reed was still sleeping soundly so Zach and I both took a shower and got ready for our day since we were leaving shortly after opening gifts. When Reed finally woke up, we got him up and let them open their gifts. He was excited for what he saw when he came out!
Santa was good to each of them and they had fun opening their gifts! We got ready to head to see our family on Zach’s side for the day.
This is Reed’s new “funny face”. He likes to make it and he also like to roar when he makes it!
We got to Zach’s grandma’s house and were joined by his parents, sister and boyfriend, niece, aunt and cousin. We had a delicious lunch and exchanged gifts. The kids had fun opening gifts for most everyone!
Reed has been asking for a trumpet for a long time and he finally got one! He LOVES it and has carried it around everywhere with him!
We attempted another cousin photo and this one turned out much better than the one we tried at Thanksgiving!!!
By the time we left, the kids were exhausted. Ava had napped on the way there, but Reed didn’t. They both slept for about an hour on the way home. We had lovely Christmas celebrations all around. We’re so blessed to have so many family members to spend the holidays with and do not take it for granted. We’re thankful we can spend the holidays with everyone and make memories for the kids that they will cherish as they grow!
