Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve started out fairly quiet. We didn’t have anywhere to be until it was time to be at church at 3:00. We hung around the house and put the kids down for early naps around 11:30. They both went to sleep thankfully!

Ava was an angel in the Christmas Eve service and Zach had some students that were playing so we had to be there an hour early. We were ready to go with some time to take a couple photos in front of the tree!IMG_4355 IMG_4351IMG_4361

We got to church and I got Ava dressed in her angel costume. Since Zach had to sit upstairs with this musicians, we all opted to sit up there. Thankfully some others snapped some pics of Ava for me!!!IMG_4377

I could see her walking down the aisle and she saw this camera pointed at her and she kind of stopped and turned and posed for this photo!!! :)avaangel angelava2

After church was over, we headed to my grandma’s for Christmas Eve dinner. It was weird not having my mom and dad there this year as they stayed in Oklahoma City and had Christmas in their new house with my youngest brother and sister. We missed them, but had a good time. And it wouldn’t be a Christmas Eve celebration without singing Happy Birthday to Jesus!!! :)  IMG_0403 IMG_0405

We had a wonderful time and then had to pack up and head home so little kiddos could get to bed!! They were definitely excited for Santa to come!IMG_0409
